16th Medical Chemical Defense Conference
April 05 to 06, 2017

at the Bundeswehr Medical Academy in Munich, Germany.

This two-day international meeting will bring together international world-leading scientists and experts in medical research counteracting chemical warfare agents. Latest findings and research results will be presented and critically discussed during the conference which will have the topic:

100 years after the first use of sulfur mustard -
re-emerging threats of chemical warfare agents
and current state of medical research

 The main sessions will cover the following topics:

  • Sulfur Mustard: Clinical Picture, Verification & Therapy
  • Pathophysiology of Sulfur Mustard
  • Innovative Approaches in Sulfur Mustard Research
  • Toxic Lung Injury
  • Incapacitating Agents & Novel Tools in Research
  • Nerve Agent Poisoning


Registered participants have the opportunity to present a poster (extended deadline for abstract submission is February 17, 2017) with abstracts published in the Wehrmedizinische Monatsschrift and in the abstract booklet.

Moreover, we encourage all participants with a contribution to the conference to submit a manuscript related to the conference for publication in a Special Issue in Toxicology Letters. Original research articles as well as review articles are welcome.
