Welcome to

9th International Symposium on Modern Principles of Air Monitoring and Biomonitoring (AIRMON 2017) in Dresden

AIRMON has a long tradition. It was first organized in Geilo (Norway) in 1993. In the meantime, six further symposia in Norway and Sweden marked milestones in the follow-up of the initial gathering.
In 2014 AIRMON left Scandinavia and went international and was hold in Marseille (France). AIRMON has become a steady appointment for the newest research results and future trends in the characterization of exposure to chemical and biological agents at workplaces and in the environment. Most of the world’s leading authorities in the field participate. The symposium will be an excellent forum for the exchange of ideas, for all those who are involved in method development, air sampling, exposure assessment, regulatory issues or other areas related to air monitoring and biological monitoring.

In 2017 the Institut für Arbeitsschutz der Deutschen Gesetzlichen Unfallversicherung (IFA) in Germany has been the conference host for the first time in the history of AIRMON. The conference was held in Dresden at DGUV's congress centre with 160 particpants from 18 countries.

Manuscripts have been published in a special edition of the journal Air Quality Control in October 2017.
